		<description>Hmm....you can do sharpening in Java...so I bet it's not that hard to add what you want to ImageVoodoo.   (Looks like it amounts to only a few lines of code; I'm learning JRuby, so if you tell me what you want I'll take a stab at it.)   And what sort of compression control do you need?   Do you mean like setting the quality of a JPEG when it's written to disk?</description>
